Buying a Property and solicitor's

Hello Christine, , The best advice that I can give you is to employ a solicitor out of the area you are going to buy in.  Estate agents are in general very good. At present we are with ALMERIA CASAS  and find them very helpful and friendly. Our solicitor is in Mojacar.           Kind reguards   Hiacynth.

Forgot to mention Christine, have you though to rent first to see if you like the area   Hiacynth

Thankyou for your quick reply, no we didnt want to waste money on renting really, we just know that we want to live out in Spain and enjoy the relaxed life style, instead of working till we drop. What would be the reason for not employing a solicitor from the town that you buy a property in?. We too are viewing through Almeria Casas and Almeria Homes.

most people will tell you to use a solicitor outside of the Albox and Arboleas areas because of the history of illegal properties there.  a solicitor from Mojacar will be better as they will investigate the property thoroughly for you try Angela Morales in Mojacar she's very thorough.  and Chloe the receptionist is English. 

how far is Mojacar from Albox and do you have her Email address please

Hi Again Christine  Angela Morales is our solisitor, we used her 20 years ago and using her again as our house is for sale with Almeria casas, Angela Morales is well know to be honest and will do all she can to help you, her office is on Mojacar Playa a few doors down from the Cajamar bank up the stairs. Christine and Julie, on the topic of Solicitors. We have used Angela Morales in Mojacar several times. We have found her to be efficient, friendly and very knowledgeable. She only accepts properties that are 100% legal.  Her assistant Chloe is also very thorough and knowledgeable. They replied to emails promptly.   Both speak perfect English. Her fees are very reasonable also.   Angela's husband has an insurance business next door to her and he has competitive prices for cover.   All in all we were very happy with the service we were given.    Finally  good luck with your move.  Mary

We are currently in the process of buying in the area.  We are also using Angela Morales in Mojacar.  Totally agree with other  recommendations about her.  Angela along with Chloe are so efficient and professional, they respond so quickly to any questions you may have etc. We highly recommend Angela!
