In the First picture, it looks like Vera May just fall within it, and maybe Valle del Este, just outside.  I can certainly tell you about those areas.

Valle del Este is a Golf resort, no, I don’t play or even like golf :-) .... but having seen what you write now, I can identify that we have a micro-climate here.  When it rains in Garrucha or Vera, it seems to miss us; it’s hot in summer, yes, but always cooler than Vera or Garrucha (our two closest towns, 7 kms from each of them)

It’s busier in summer, like a good proportion of the south of Spain, but not insanely busy.  For 9 months of the year - the months you are most likely I understand to want to be here, we almost have the place to ourselves . Our unit is East facing, and we can see the Mediterranean. We are 3 minutes drive from the 529 on ramp / off ramp to the E15 Autovía, but the same mountains that give us the micro climate also block ALL traffic noise.  It’s so quiet you’d not know there was a road there, let alone a highway.

There are basic amenities here and the hotel, which is a 7 - 10 minute walk from our Urbanización, has a fantastic Spa which is a real treat in Winter.

Today is 22nd December, temperature here predicted to be around 18° today, means it will be about 20° for us.  No need for more than a T-shirt.

Valle del Este is a little oasis of green in amongst the more normal arid areas common to this part of the South of Spain.  Another benefit is that property prices are very very affordable.

I've just found out that I live inside the 'perfect climatic area!'. Well, it can be rather dry here but I suppose that's why it suits so many asmatics and arthritis sufferers.

And a Merry Christmas to you, Tommy!

Thanks Dario and Juanida,

I made myself an Xmas present (video below), took a WEEK to make. Hope it is useful for anyone. Note i am thinking some people in Andalusia will not enjoy it so much :)

Yes that's why i will join you Guy's in Sorbas to Vera district. I also have bad joints.

Merry Xmas
