Hi Albox is a bit like marmite, have you been there?

obviously at the moment NO-one knows exactly what will happen after Dec31st,but at the moment best advice is to move(or start it ) before then while we know what is exactly involved

Nothing wrong with Albox, rather like many other medium sized inland towns. Has some nice parts and not so nice (to look at). Has probably everything most people need, plus recreation wise it has bars, cinema, bowling alley, gyms etc. No one really knows what will happen after Brexit, guesswork would be a little more paperwork and more money to prove you can exist here without assistance from the state (not that you'd probably get any if needed depending on circumstances).

Easier and cheaper if moved beforehand but won't be impossible afterwards as people have moved for years and years and put down roots elsewhere so will still be possible/happen.

Good luck,

Andy.

before you sell up in the UK,think about renting for 6/12 mths

a) to see if it really is for you

b) to get your paperwrok sorted

a cheap appartment would cost you apx £1800 for 6mths

Hi Karen. Unless you have a very good pension ( ie in excess of 26000) you need to be in Spain and registered on the Padron  before the end of the year. Thus is because the proof of financial independence is much higher for non EU  residency applicants.
