I relocated into the Albox area at the end of last October.  I then contacted Androidman TV to get UK TV via the internet.  Having bought the smart box and signed up for the trial period the smart box was installed without any problems, or shall I say that's when the problems started.  Since the system has been installed, I can say,  without fear of contradiction, I have not had one day when the system worked without interruptions to sound, vision or both, blank screen seems to be the norm.  The poor quality of the system, as I understand it, is between IPTV and the internet providers, there appears to be technical issues with the two systems talking to each other with providing a reliable watchable service.

If anyone is reading this post about UK TV in Spain, think twice about connecting to any IPTV system.  They ll make claims about being the being the best, wishful thinking.  Having read the many replies to other complaints about IPTV issues, I am not alone.  I appreciate the IPTV is not a legal system in Spain, that said, it's about time the powers to be should make it legal.

I for one am prepared to pay to watch UK TV legally, after all I'm still paying for the privilege in the UK, through the BBC licence fee, so why can't the licence be extended to Spanish residents.  I understand the technical and legal issues involved, but this could easily be controlled via encryption.  I would welcome others views on on UK TV in Spain.

George - disgruntaled TV watcher.

I'm using IPTV Spain based in Almeria City, internet TV via an android box.

Have used them for over 4 years now and can't recommend them enough.

If there is any problem, rarely, they are in touch immediately informing you as to what's happening.

As with all internet TV, you must have a decent internet connection, that's not the fault or problem of the TV provider.

Myra.

Hello George

You have failed to mention a few things,

Your ping on a speed test was over 140, that is far too high to watch live TV.

I have offered to loan you a different box with a new ethernet cable for testing,

I also offered to show you how to perform a speed test on the TV box so you can see exactly what its receiving,

even offered to show you how to use mobile phone data so you can compare how the service performs on a different internet supply.

You could not make the appointment on Friday and asked for Saturday which you then cancelled. I have explained to you a few times that i believe your internet connection is not good, if you could kindly take up our offer of a loan box and learn how to do the speed test, you may then consider that there is an issue with the internet supply. I believe you had the same problem with a previous supplier for TV, this would make most people think there is something wrong at home with the internet set up, if they are unable to assist there are other internet suppliers in your local area that offer our users a very good service.

If any of our clients on this website are experiencing problems please contact us directly, our details are on the label of the box packaging and our receipts or google us, I don't want to get into to trouble for adding a link to our website, please be aware we do not offer support on social media or forums, we have our own support website with news, help guides and a support ticket system.

I don’t use any IPTV myself, but do have a small Kodi Android box that I use for Netflix etc.

I can say for certain that any problems you experience with regards freezing, buffering, blank screen etc will be directly attributable to your internet connection.

There is so much more to consider than what speed you get from a moment in time test; as AndroidMan mentioned, ping speed will be a factor - that is a measure of the reaction time of your system, i.e. how quickly you receive a response when a request is made.  You might have a reasonable line speed, but if you have a high ping (and 140 m/s is high), you’ll suffer the above mentioned problems.

Another issue to consider is jitter frequency, or Packet Delay Variation.  Jitter frequency is a measure of the variability in ping over time; a high jitter will lead to freezes and interruptions as well.

Then there is the type of service you have .... copper? Fibre Optic? Wireless? Satellite?  If you are getting 30 Mbps I’d guess not copper.  If your only getting 30 Mbps then definitely not Fibre .... so wireless or satellite?  Either of those can be affected by the weather - too hot as well as too cold / raining / windy will result in signal loss and performance problems that will be magnified when trying to stream TV.

The ISPs will invariably never accept responsibility for a poor service, and to be fair they do try to deliver a service - but by and large they over promise and under deliver.

The issues you outlined are more likely to be caused by issues of data streaming, rather than the box itself.  Put simply, your internet connection just isn’t stable enough to handle the task at hand.
