Hi planning on moving to albox with brother and his wife .home will be paid for no mortgage flying over next Saturday. Been told will need a substantial amount of money £200 thousand or thereabouts and 5000 per year paid from Britain bank into our Spanish bank accounts. Also been told its not easy to get resistancy and citizenship. Not planning on working we are retiring any advice please..many thanks .Julie xx
Im no expert but that sounds weird,, what is all that money for if you own the house mortgage free???

Hi jj ive been told this today by somebody i know who lives in spain already she said you need to prove you can support yourselfs by having said monies .we are in touch with several estate agents and they will be viewing several villas we have seen on their books. We just wasnt to buy and retire not bother anyone any more advice would be appreciated thanks

Best of luck, sounds as though your friend is a bit confused about the requirements before dec and the possible requirements after dec, as are lots and lots of people at the moment.
