Does anyone know where one can invest euros to get more interest than my bank here in Spain is offering (0.08%)?

Yes - Old Mutual International do a Spanish Tax compliant package.  Speak to Sam Daynes of Abbey Wealth on ‭+34 952 887 270‬ or email [email protected]

I will attest to the legitimacy of Sam and his expertise.  I have invested through Abbey Wealth for the exact same reasons. Very happy with my portfolio

You could also join the Angel Business Club www,angelequitygroup.com. They invest in companies pre-IPO on behalf of members, building a portfolio of share entitlements week by week. Monthly contributions are variable starting at 89euros in stages to 990eurowith no contract tie ln. They are Europes largest community of business angels and are FCA regulated.. It is a private members club which I can introduce you to.

I have been a member for 4 years now and have seen my portfolio rise to 56% above contributions with stakes in over 20 companies working towards IPO.. And I knew nothing about shares to start with and am very happy with the progress to date.

Worth a look and happy to chat more,

Rgds

Hi JohnJo

I am not sure where you found this information, or whether you wrote it yourself.  A little knowledge is a very dangerous thing indeed. I think I read it originally about four years ago. It is completely inaccurate and out of date. It is interesting that the unnamed person never posted any response he may have received from the FCA?

Perhaps you should listen or talk to someone who has actually used the Club for over four years and is a Founding member rather than believe everything you read on the internet and placing it on the Forum. Thanks! The damage you have done….! I posted an honest, informed and accurate article to invite people in the area to join an innovative savings plan based on my real experience, offering to meet and explain how the Club works (warts and all) and you have wrecked it by your inaccurate, uninformed and unnamed comments.

Dominic Berger was indeed the COO of Viral Angels as he was recruited by Philip Reid, The Chairman of Viral Angels at the time.  Between them, they acquired the assets of Viral Angels from Anthony Norman and created Angel Business Club, a completely different company. They could see the opportunity of using their knowledge, skills and contacts in the world of finance into a more regulated product for the members. Viral Angels closed down.

They have turned this small scale “scheme” as you call it into the largest community of business angels in Europe with over 35,000 members across the world under the name of Angel Business Club. The Club itself does not need to be regulated. The overarching body that deals with all the financial side of the business, Angel Corporate Finance, IS fully authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Registration number: FRN189495).  The monthly subscriptions that members pay are used to help unlisted companies achieve their financial aims.  In return for the monthly subscription, each member receives free share entitlements in the companies the Club is helping. The monthly subscription is not an investment and share entitlements are protected as they are held by a third party Bank and fully ring-fenced for the members protection.

Dominic Berger (and other Board members and business accelerators) take an active place on the company boards as a way of ensuring suitable business growth and progress and protection of Club member’s interests. That is exactly why many ABC executives are on the Boards of these companies, thank goodness. In this way it becomes a much more meaningful engagement by investing both human and financial capital, something Crowdfunding does not do where companies are just given cash.  Angel Business Club mentors, curates and guides all the companies it takes on to help them to grow or achieve their goals.  This may include exit strategies including floatation on a stock market, trade sales etc. These include Ridercam, Harlington Wine, Fantrac and many others you have chosen not to include giving a broad market spread to reduce and mitigate risk for all.

Tomorrow evening (Thursday at 7pm) there is a regular update webinar which will be given by Dominic Berger himself, live. You could watch that by signing up (no commitment) and hear for yourself what is going on in many of these companies and ask questions. This offer is open to anyone else who reads this.

If you, or anyone reading this, would like to meet me, I will show you exactly how the Club works and my account with the share entitlements I hold.  Surely it is better to speak to someone who has been a member for over four years, than take the opinion of someone who is nameless and is not even a member? If you want more information, I am happy to meet you, I am based in Mojacar and you can contact me through the Forum.
