Thank so much for a much needed uplifting feedback. Must say have been feeling like I have been kicked in the face a few times. So once again Thank You

Hi there - you didn’t respond; am still quite curious as to whether you are permanent resident / work permit / NLV etc.  I only ask because as I said originally, you stated you arrived recently.

Sorry, was feeling deflated and did not exspect to be insulted like a child. We are permanent due to moving from Malaga to Albox. But we do drive back to uk with our cats, when we are visiting family.

Excellent.  In which case there should be nothing to bar you from getting on the Register of Breeders here in Andalucia.

As with anything in Spain, be prepared for mountains of bureaucracy :-D

This may be a good place to start to find the information you need : https://www.protectapet.eu/cat-breeders-in-spain

Whilst it is a site to find registered cat breeders, I’m certain they will be able to point you in the right direction to becoming registered

EDIT:  This also may be of use to you https://dogandcatwelfare.eu/media/filer_public/3a/17/3a17a4ec-04cb-401a-bba7-e4bde8ff5d7d/spain.pdf

Get used to it Shazza, there are plenty bitter/entitled/opinionated/busybodies on this site. They tar everyone with the same brush if your views or opinions don't agree with theres.

While I accept that feral cats and dogs are a big problem in Spain, it doesn't sound to me that what you are doing adds to that problem.

...

Shazza you do what you do and ignore the nay sayers.

Some breeders may be in it for the money but I would think that more of them are in it to help the variety of cat or dog for the love of the animlal and breed them to help them prosper and grow.

If someone wants one of your cats I'm sure a visit to you will demostrate that your a caring breeder and not a 'farm'

If you want to post or comment on this site it's as Geordiemark says ...there are plenty bitter/entitled/opinionated/busybodies on this site  you'll soon learn who they are and see them for what they are.

Do keep in mind though that there are also a lot of good members on here.

One way of telling how good is look to the posts numbers and helpful points attached to their monikers Ex.- 5183 posts 6074 helpful points that poster is doing something right and people find their posts useful

as dario says you can register to be a breeder of your beautiful looking cats and I would expect there will be a lot of Spanish who would like to have one in their family and would not dream of dumping it.  Good luck and keep your chin up.
