We read up on that just to make sure and as someone said you are more likely to get radiation poison from a microwave. It didn’t put us off. Palomares wouldn’t be for everyone obviously I think i’m going back to my childhood by choosing a village location. Hope all goes well with your search, you will know when you find the right place for you. Dawn

We also bought in Palomares specifically to rent out and hopefully as an investment for our son. As was pointed out earlier there are commercial fruit & veg farms close in to the village centre supplying UK and Spanish supermarkets and that wouldn't happen if there was any health risk or if the peppers (or residents) glowed in the dark. We really like Palomares, it has a nice feel to it, good bars and restaurants and close to the beach.

If somebody mentions that air crash again and the missing H-bomb, I'll personally visit and explain that there is a greater chance of getting your elbow bitten by a venemous Madigascar two headed scorpion in the North Pole at midnight on 1st January. Believe it or not a device was washed up on Ireland's south west coast many years ago and there were those who believed it was the missing H-bomb of Palomares. It was a submarine tracking device discarded by some spying US vessel.

If that H-bomb is still dangerous then the whole south/southeast coast of Spain would be evacuated. I fear more danger from lager louts if Liverpool are beaten by Spurs tonight.
