Just came on two television programmes yesterday buying Holiday Homes in the Sun. None were located in Mojacar or Mojacar Playa but Vera/VeraPlaya/Turré/LosGallardos/Palomares were prominent. I became endeared to the elderly couple who eventually bought their dream holiday home in Los Gallardos. They used their heads and hearts to decide and I must say they did what they set out to do. If you wish to know how to buy i.e. This-is-what-we-want-everything-else-is-not-necessary this couple did well.

I watched it also, they did well for 50k,ish.think them days have gone though, missed how old it was?.

But for that money they did buy the best property I also picked the blue/white house, they were a lovelly couple,I always wonder if these people are still there knowing what's going on now,I hoping to get out in Sept after 4 years away but I'm refusing to pay £700 return for 2wks.

Me and the wife only payed £25 each 1 way then looked for cheep flights back after 4/5wks in the day.lol..them days have well gone.

Very sad thinking of selling up now, there making it so difficult for none EU migrants now.

It’s not really “now” - it’s been this way for Non EU migrants for at least 10 years - probably more.

It’s just UK has joined the “Non EU” migrants club and so falls into line with the restrictions and requirements levied upon those countries that don’t enjoy FoM

7 years ago you had Freedom of Movement so there really would have been no problem at all staying 6 months.  It was that little event that took away FoM that changed things unfortunately.

yes … your poor car probably will be feeling a shade neglected after 4 years …

Hi Darrin

Re £700 for flights, have you looked at EasyJet to Murcia? Only I have just booked for 3 weeks departing on the 2nd Sept from Gatwick and it came to £302 (2 people) plus a few quid more for choosing our seats. No suitcases though. I could have knocked £45 off if I arrived late evening. All the best and hope you don’t have too much cleaning to do after 4 years away 😀

Flying from Manchester looked into mercia couldn't get the dates we needed, wife can only get 2wks off from 11sept to 25th Sept.can get them for £70 each going out but coming home it's £210 each to come home, even tried flying from Liverpool.

Jet 2 want £700.im just not prospered to pay that money, were only going with the clothes on our backs.

But thanks garry, will just keep looking and hoping. I'm not that desperate to meet the dust.lol

This year we have noticed a  pattern of cheap flights out from the UK but extortionate returns, with flights to Manchester from Almeria or from Alicante nudging £300 without luggage.

Booking well in advance seems to be the way to go.

Does anyone knows the prices about chipping and vaccination cats in Mojacar?

Kindest regards Monique
