...ur two periods of 90 days.  People we know hire for a couple of weeks then return to the airport and swop cars.  This sometimes works out cheaper.  Alternatively, have you been in touch with Costa coches at Antas or there's a new company in Huercal Overa not sure what their details are but think they're on Facebook.  Regards Karen

Ve are staying for 3 months in villaricos and will need a car now the problem is 3 month rental is soooooooooooo expensive costing as much if not more than our apartment rental my original idea was to take a slow drive down thru France making a trip of it but this then bites into or 90 days in Spain ( would prefer 4 more days in Villaricos) so back to searching for cheap car hire if it exists or possible buying a runabout and just giving it away at the end of our 90 days I know enough about cars to spot  a nail so I was wondering where you would buy a cheap local car  do they have market place on Facebook or something like auto trader or even ebay I look forward to hearing your suggestions, we still have to get to and from airport but can cope with that could even borrow a car for a price if someone there not using it open to suggestions

...we always wanted to see. In our case it was Burgos and Cuenca. We used Hotel.com to locate hotels with car parks and got places fairly central at reasonable rates. You have to book the ferry if you want a cabin in advance as they do get booked up. We had a fantastic time. 

I wouldn't do it every time and in the long term I may buy a bloody expensive Spanish car
