Stay on the Spanish sites / forums.  We’ve just entered the de-escalation period, it’s split into 3 phases, commencing 11/5, all a minimum of two weeks apart.  Not all provinces will progress through each phase at the same time and until ALL provinces have successfully completed Phase 3, movement between the provinces is prohibited.

The earliest any province on mainland Spain can complete Phase 3 is June 22, but the chances of all provinces having no spike in infections and all completing on 22/6 is very very slim indeed.

Even when phase 3 is completed, that is only movement between the provinces allowed; the government have not yet announced at what point borders will be re-opened and general tourism allowed.  It certainly won’t be by end of June and I imagine the government will want to monitor both the situation in Spain and in neighboring countries before re-opening borders.

Best guess? August / September before tourism resumes. That IS just a guess though, we could be surprised.

I rent a lovely apartment long-term in Almeria.  At present I am locked in the UK and have missed visiting my apartment March, May and possibly will also miss August.  I still pay my rent and standing utility charges for my apartment  as I live in hope of MAYBE being able to get over at end of year.  I can't wait to get to Spain again.
