The closest we get to it is Parque Comercial on Mojacar Playa or you could go into Almeria itself or the other way to Murcia (Ikea, Leroy Merlin, Toys 'R' Us, restaurants etc). We don't really have shopping malls here; we have small shops, medium shops, supermarkets (Consum is not far from you, Iceland is in Vera, Lidl is in Vera and Garrucha), great markets on different days of the week but shopping malls are not so common. The nearest really very big shopping mall is probably Zenia Boulevard but that's 150km away. What is it that you are wanting to buy?

Many thanks for your reply, Ive managed to get my husband a thermal warm top,(didn't expect this cold weather at night)  this is our first time in Vera and we're loving it but having stayed near Benidorm numerous times I wondered if there was anything around this area the same as in Finestrat where they have Carrefour and a shopping mall. Appreciate your help as we're new here.

There is a Carrefour at Parque Almenara, address C.C. Parque Almenara, Camino de Enmedio, S/N, 30813 Lorca, Murcia, Spain

Website is http://www.parquealmenara.com

Head north on the Autovia (A-7), then come off at Junction 636, it is well signed. There is a map on their website.

There is also a multi-screen cinema, etc.

The northern side of Aguilas has shopping malls including a large Carrefour and a Decathlon close by. Access by the by-pass from San Juan or head into Aguilas and follow the beach road to the far end ( north) Distance from Vera appx 38km much closer than Lorca. After shopping there are nice walks in Aguilas and lots of very reasonable cafe bars.

From Vera drive to the playa, head for Villaricos take the road to San Juan. Decide on the by pass when you approach San Juan or turn off to San Juan ( worth a visit)which will lead you back to the by- pass and the turn off for  Aguilas town. Beautiful breathtaking views from this coast road from Villaricos to San Juan.

Far more enjoyable than the AP 7. Lol

Carrefour Lorca, theres a C and A believe it or not !, a huge hyper asia as well as a very big Media Markt, several smaller shops on the concoyrse cafes and such, been several times but strangely never been on the upper levels lol.

New style Aldi, Mc Donalds.

Lorca market on thursdays closer to the town centre is a very big, very good market as is Puerto Lumbreras on Thursday.

Trains run from Lorca too.
