Update. Have just read that Portugal are accepting people without covid tests BUT some of the airlines are requesting them. It is so important that you keep updated with the government requirements for your country of departure and arrival and the airline you're flying with. Re day 2 & 8 tests they have to be booked through one of the government recommended sites, again all found on the government website. Good luck hope you get here but omg what a faff.

All being well if Jet2 resume as planned their flights on the 1st July I should arrive in Vera Playa on the 3rd July

Spain still being on the amber list means as far as I am aware do not require me to have a pre flight test to enter Spain but will before the return flight and the UK will require me to have the 2 day test and require me to quarantine for ten days

The 2 day home testing package required ,I have found the best value to be Randox at £96. and screen4 at £105. 

I am prepared to put up with all this just to have a few days holiday in the sun I hope it will be worth it and it would be nice to perhaps meet up with some fellow Brits.

You Do not have to wear your mask whilst driving nor do passengers if from the same household. If you are stopped for any reason then you have to put it on before conversing with the Guardia or whoever. You do not have to wear it whilst sunbathing but if you get up for a stroll you do. As for swimming no, although how do you get from your sunbathing position to the sea/ pool. This is my interpretation but I stand corrected.
