Hi All

I am a new contributer and I am hoping to visit Vera Playa for the first time , on holiday staying at the Vera Club Hotel for a week July 3rd. As a single young at heart senior I was wondering what the situation is like now in Vera Playa regarding atmosphere entertainment etc. i love live music, pub social scene etc, and wonder how the pandemic may have impacted on the area. are there  many holidaymakers, restuarants, bars open ? etc.

regards

Karel U.K.

Hi Marek,

It's quieter than normal but pretty much business as usual with all the bars and restaurants open. Biggest difference you will probably notice is having to wear a mask in the heat!

Yes much quieter than normal from what I heard for instance, last Saturday night it was buzzing on Hotel St but when we went round on Sunday it was very quiet. Some of the bars are now having live entertainment again, so it may be not as busy as you're used to but I'm sure you'll find plenty going on. Come and enjoy.

Hi JAS

Many thanks for the info, the holiday is a bit on a knife edge at the moment with the government making an announcement tomorrow but if jet2 resumes its flights as scheduled on I think 26th June I am determined to come, I have had my double vaccination and am not worried about the tests and possible quarantine when I get back as I think this is just a moneymaking scheme, after all most of the contracts were awarded to government cronies or am I being cynical.

Hopefully looking forward to an enjoyable holiday

Regards

Karel

Ok, as it stands at the moment you do not need a covid test to enter Spain but you will have to have an antigen test to return to the UK and have booked your day 2 and 8 tests on one of the approved sites as these details have to be entered on your passenger locator form. As things are changing daily I recommend that you check on both the UKs and Spain's regularly. Also on this forum there are lots of comments and advice about this topic.
