Hello

I have always hired a car from Almeria Airport when we go to our flat in Vera Playa. Now we have retired we will be going for longer periods. Can I hire a car anywhere for the longer periods, or is it best to buy a car, and if so can we leave it near the Airport?

Thanks Mike

you can hire a car for longer periods but of course it will cost you.  buying and leaving a car at the airport is an option but equally costly when you consider the cost of insurance, tax and parking fees.  How often do you intend to use it is it going to be worth the worry when it needs maintenance or ITV.

Try places like Costa Coches. They are much cheaper and easier to deal with, plus they are local and don’t try and sell you all the extra rubbish insurances. They also do airport parking, so I’m sure they could sort transfers out from the airport and collect your car in vera or drop at the airport. There’s a car hire company in Mojacar too, have a trek through FB they are all there.
