When you arrive you will have to wait your turn and if you arrive near your appointment time shouldn’t be to long. The actual test is nowhere near as comprehensive as the U.K. so probably takes around 15 mins. You sit in the car and the examiner conveys instructions to you via a little ‘walkie talkie’ Lights, brake, indicator etc.

Yes, go to reception with ALL paperwork. I’m never sure so I take it all with me so I take everything. (Insurance etc) Take a ticket and when called take it to reception with all papers and they will sort it out. You pay then, but at the moment I think only by card. Go back to car and wait for your Reg number to Be displayed and follow markings to designated test bay. If your car is like mine I’d suggest a little prayer, but mines never failed. I don’t know what’s holding it together. 😂😂😂

If your car fails, they put a cross on the relevant box on a form they give you so you will know what needs fixing.  I think it's 2 weeks they give you  to retest after fixing the problem before charging for a second test, but it may be up to  a month so check if this happens.
