Hi - I’ve just posted a long post about the EV Medical centre - see my post. You need to have it within 72 hours if your trip back - so the best day to have it is probably 7 Sept

Good luck! Katy

You dont need a PCR test now, just the antigen test. This takes about 2 hours to get the results and can be done in the clinic just below the pharmacy near the Parque commercial on Mojacar Playa. You then have 72 hours to enter the UK.

Regards,

Kevin.

This is the post I posted - obviously in the wrong place!  Note that this clinic gives results very quickly ( for us it was 10 minutes - they say 1/2 hour)

That's interesting. Do you know if one can have it done at an airport?

We flew back from Alicante on Wednesday.  I don't know if you can be tested at the airport, but I wouldn't advise it.  We arrived in plenty of time before our flight, but all the Jet 2 passengers were put into one long queue.  We must have been there about an hour and a half.  People were beginning to worry that they would miss their flight and in the end organisers had to call passengers from the queue to the front! If we had been waiting to be tested as well it would have been a nightmare.  Also be aware that if you do a day 2 test at home to post to a lab, that some post offices won't handle them.  Give yourself plenty of time to get them in the post!

Still need Day 2 PCR when back in UK, until UK Gov make announcement about switch to Lateral Flow Tests.
