Hi either mask can be worn.  You need to Wear a mask in any place in doors.  Shops a must, any goverment building.  Restaurants and pubs when indoors until you sit at a table.  Any transport  unless your own car.

You certainly  get used to wearing your mask hear.   Good luck in your house search.

Should you need to go to the hospital (hopefully not) you need to wear the medical type ones rather than cloth.

I think your best bet is to wear it most of the time in public, just remember the golden rule is you are wearing not to protect yourself but to protect other people especially when you have just come over on a plane from the UK, where the infection are higher than in Spain, I hope you do not mix with people in Spain for a few days, we don’t want any extra infections over here thank you

Personally, I would prefer a visitor from the UK to wear a surgical mask if he or she was inspecting my property and to keep it on during the entire visit, avoiding touching anything in the house.  It might seem a bit hostile but many people who are selling are elderly and also might have chronic health problems in addition.

In addition to other comments,  you should wear a mask if you cannot keep a reasonable distance, ie 1.5/2m, and in cars with others, on buses etc etc. The simple advise is to wear it when out of the house

No wonder the cases are so high in the UK the majority of people do not think the virus does not exist, and when they land in Spain the just Cary on as if there are in the UK, It’s about time they wake up to the fact this virus as not gone away

I think comments on the U.K. covid rate being far worse than Spain are valid but, having just spent seven weeks in my place in the mountains of Spain nobody in my village has even heard of Lateral Flow Testing. We took 28 kits with us from the U.K. and tested ourselves twice a week, thankfully all negative. This is common practice for all of my friends and family and within the past two months five have had a positive return subsequently verified by a PCR test but only one of them had any symptoms, loss of taste. If you don’t test, as in Spain, how many may be positive and not reported?
