I would feel safer here in Vera Playa than in UK at present, certainly no need to isolate when you get here, no online deliveries for food you have to get your own.  All bars open and restaurants also.  We who live here have taken all the precautions laid down and as previously said we ...

...are one of the safest areas in Almeria because of this.  To add to this you don't mess with the Spanish police like some do in the UK.  Get over here, protect yourself adequately and enjoy yourself.

Thank you Lynn that's really reassuring.   As the weather has got very hot here, many people have gone crazy and totally forgot that we are trying to overcome a pandemic and headed for the beaches in their thousands.  So yes I do believe you are right in that we will be far safer when we arrive in Spain in a few days time.

There will certainly not be thousands on the beach here, you have to wear a mask as you go on, allowed to take it off when you sit down, and there are people patrolling the beaches to ensure social distancing if you are not all one family.  Have a good time!

Hi Lynn

I'm not trying to nit pick here but your statement is not entirely true. Masks are only required if you cannot self distance by 1.5 metres or you are in a confined space as the State of Alarm has now ended. There is no need or requirement to wear a mask on a beach unless you cannot meet those requirements. I have been to the beach many times in the last three weeks and have not been required to wear a mask entering the beach. The only extra restriction I have seen at the beach is that the notice on the board on the beach I frequent requires people to self distance by 6 mtrs. and from what I can see people were doing just that.

I do want people to come and enjoy themselves but I do not want them to be any more confused than they already are.

Hi

The monitors in Vera Playa have asked us to wear a mask while walking on the board walk down to the sea if you meet another person in it.
