...cient, I didn't need to chase them at all. They were handling the purchase of our property and as part of this also arranged the NIE for my wife and I. But they can just do the NIE work on its own if that's all you want. I think they have a gestor on the staff who does the legwork. The 2 NIEs cost €300 - that's the standard fee - and they took about 5 weeks to come through. You will have to pay a fee on top to the abogados for doing the work but I can't tell you how much that would be as our fees covered all the work they did. I'm sure others here will have other suggestions and it's worth getting a few quotes. You might find that a gestor will charge a lower fee than the abogados but I don't have details of any as I haven't so far needed one.

The NIE is costing 30€ a person when you apply at your embassy/consulat in the homecountry or local police overhere.
