Hi everybody,

Is anyone as disgusted as I am with Next communications?   33 Euros A month for constant buffering, I’ve just tested the speed at 20.30 and recorded 1 Mbps, but paying for 15.   This company is taking my money for extremely poor service, despite reporting the problem at least three times, but of course they have the monopoly at. Cortijo Grande.   I’m considering going hard wire to Telefonica who say they can deliver up to 25 Mbps.  Has any one any better ideas, PLEASE.

And please do not tell me to be patient because the system is congested.

Best regards to all and keep safe. Brian.

Hi Brian, we're in Turre and having problems AND we've got their TV system. Looking to go with Plus Net (fibre optic) when businesses open up.

Hi Sue, fibre must be the way to go,  not sure when it will get to Cortijo Grande.  This is why I was thinking of Telephonlca with a land line.  I will also approach Plus net. Thanks for you reply . Brian

surely it does depend on where you are.   We are in Mojacar Playa and have had Next with no problems for over a year now and tv with a quick catch up when it drops out occasionally.   We had our set box updated once and after that no problems.

Hi

I pay roughly the same to Wimax and the service has always been absolutely rubbish. I pay for 20Mbs and rarely get more than 4. If it's really hot, raining, misty or anything other than perfect it simply gives up the ghost. We have recently bought in Los Jardines de Agua and have gone with an ADSL line from Telitec. More expensive but you get a phone line as well as broadband, only 8Mbs but they assure me it is stable at that.

Can't wait for fibre to reach there.

Hello Alfredow,   thanks for your reply.   We live Jacinto and we don’t even bother to use internet now for streaming, waste of time and exasperating. I will contact teletec and see what they can offer.   Regards Brian.

Hi Brian, I'm glad that someone has posted this topic on here. I live in Turre and am also with Next, even at the best of times their service drops usually during EastEnders I have put up with them because of their vacation package. Now at peak times I'm lucky to get 2mbs although it does seem to have improved. I have registered my interest with +Net but because of the current situation they are unable to install although I have seen their guy's running cables etc throughout town. Hopefully their fibre option will be the answer to a steady connection. I hope you get something sorted out soon. Best regards.

Tony.
