Places to visit in Seron
I am coming to Seron for the day to explore. I wonder if anyone has places that they recommend to visit whilst there. Thank you in advance

Hi, I live in Seron. There are a few places to see such as the Castle, Church and all the Jamon Factories (which are open to the public). If you want a walk, there is a natural spring pool up the Rambla towards Alcontar but this is quite small. There are lots of nice little Bars and a lovely Restaurant in the Town Square.

Do you have to book to go to the jamon factories?

Hi.
I am a resident in Serón and can recommend a wander through the streets and just lose yourself there. You'll easily come across the historical sites. The Museo de La Historia is worth a visit, it's free but only open Saturdays and Sundays. The Vía Verde is a lovely place to enjoy a walk or a cycle and if you visit La Estación de Serón you'll find a number of interesting buildings relating to the mines. Also there is a recently opened planetarium which offers astronomical shows from Friday to Sunday. The Turismo de Serón has the hours and events.
For the best "churros" drop in 8-11am on Sunday morning to the building on the corner of the church. You'll smell the woodburning oven which is used to cook them!
A beautiful walk is the Sendero "El Cantaril" which is a recent bridge built to carry water across the deep ravine. Very scenic. You can find it from Calle Bacares.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you everyone for kindly replying. We went on Saturday and enjoyed a wander. We loved the musuem and castle, especially the views. As a veggie I didn't visit the factories LOL. Thanks again x
