Posting letters/cards to the uk

Hi all I know this may sound daft but never posted from abroad before. Does Spain have a first and second class system? Can you buy books of postage stamps as in the uk or do you need to always take your item to a post office? Many thanks Helen

Hi, I always take it to the post office, average sized cards cost €1.40 and the slightly larger ones €1.65, letters are slightly less dependant on weight. Always gets to the UK within 5 days max.

Hi

There was a time you could buy stamps from the Tabac shops but think this has mostly changed.

We use Correos if absolutely necessary otherwise use the.various Brit shops that send mail direct to UK.

Sandra does all the various.cards for family & friends and leaves in UK annually. Otherwise we send e cards.

I try and stay away from the ‘Brit’ shops for postal services, takes an age and costs more. I have used the Correos for nigh on 11 years, never a problem and always within 3 working days. Posted a card on Thursday before Xmas and it got there on the Monday!

Choice is yours......

Hi Bob and Sandra happy new year to you too. Thanks for the help I have sent e-cards myself before in the uk but there are occasions when a proper card is called for so thank you for the tips. Best wishes Helen

I live outside of Town in Seron, most of my mail never reaches me, for the car tax every year I have to go to the Town Hall and they print the bill off for me.If someone knows you are English they normally dump it all one English persons letter box for various English people. All my bills are on direct debit so other than car tax it is not an issue.
