Hello

When I came to San Juan for the first time we flew into Almeria airportI. I know the time it takes is very similar but any recommendations as to what is the easiest most straight forward drive?

Many thanks for any advice.

We mostly use Murcia even though in Los Gallardos we are much closer to Almeria. But for us that's more to do with the flight schedules which allow us to get to Los Gallardos from our home in the Highlands of Scotland in a single day and the same for the route back which only takes half a day. If that wasn't the case then we'd choose Almeria. If you don't have flight schedules to take into account then the road from Murcia San Javier, assuming you use the toll road (11.15€ Cartagena to the Pulpi exit), is empty and quick and I'm sure you'll find it a less busy drive.

Hi, we live in a small village called Urcal, 7 minutes from the A7 so easy and quick to get going north or south.

It takes us 90 minutes from here to Murcia using Rm 2 and approx 65-70 minutes to get to Almeria, straight shot down A7 come off at the Aeropuerto ramp and follow the signs.

Murcia we go up to the Rm2 ramp and it's just a quiet traffic free blast until a few kilometres from the airport.

We came out of Murcia the other week and mistakenly ended up on the toll road, never again, but then again, as above we live inland, 45 minutes to the coast but getting over to A7 was such a drag off the toll road.

For me it would be Almeria but as been mentioned.it depends more on available flights.
