We've just (4 weeks’ ago) completed on a property in El Campillo de Purchena and have based our figures (as won’t be moving permanently for 2 years) on non EU countries as a worst case scenario. After all, there are plenty of non EU expats.
Hi Sandra & Neil,
We have just sold our uk home and are in the process of buying a permanent property in Albox. There are so many different conversations going around and scare mongering no one really knows how it will affect us. We are just going with it as we are sure it will be ok. My in laws have lived in Purchena for 14 years and love it. People are friendly if you put yourself out. Hope all goes well.

Hi
Michelle and Richard,
Thank you for your reply. It certainly sounds good and I intend to be involved with the locals. It's nice to know others are still going over there. Fingers crossed.

Thank you for that, It's good to know others are not put off by it. We will have to see, as you say.
Take care
We are travelling at the moment in our Motorhome with our 3 cats which has worked out cheaper than paying for pet transport and paying rent on a property. We will then sell the Motorhome once our property purchase is completed. All the best.

hi Fullerjen
Yes i guess people will still buy and sell. You will have to tell me any pitfalls along the way.
Take care
Just make sure the property you buy has all the legal paperwork such as an AFO.
whats an AFO?
An AFO is the legal document given by the town hall and junta to confirm the property is legally built. Townhouses should be ok as long as you have the deeds.
Great to see so much positivity .
