Hi, just googled Partaloa and it doesnt look that big, around 950 residents ar last census, 950 and three corrupt mayors so the headlines were wrote.

When we were looking for a property around the end of last year, beginning of this we saw some really nice places in and around Partaloa with various agents but ultimately discounted them all because of the remoteness that Partaloa seemed to enjoy or otherwise, north west-ish of Albox it was too far out from most everything but dont take my word for it as we never got up there, ultimately settling for a village called Urcal close by Huercal Overa.

Partaloa might suit what your looking for and it's down to your own personal likes/wants and needs as well as importantly costs.

Totally agree with.Chevy &'in fact just lost friends from Partaloa. Beautiful casa but for us to get there was over 90 minutes. Colder than coast and seemingly sandwiched by Albox, Cantoria  & Oria etc all areas which were developed &, to our mind at least, not sympathetically. Also quite a number of illegal builds. Still, as Chevy comments, It's personal taste.

Season's Greetings,

The village is very SPANISH with a great community feel, both Spanish and Ex pats mingle socially with a great deal of things going on  organised by the proactive Town Hall. This is not an area to consider if you want bright lights and entertainment, with 2 /3 bars a local well stocked shop, farmacia, bakery, public out door swimming pool in the summer months, gymnasium, sports ground (football, tennis) and a weekly street market.

the surrounding area is very rural and comes under Partaloa jurisdiction so a visit is needed to see that some properties can be isolated whilst closer to the village and within walking distance there are some lovely spots.
