All you need do is count back 180 days.  If you have spent 90 days in the Schengen in that period, you have no time left in the Schengen.  It is a rolling 180 days though, so each day when you count back, you should find the time you’ve spent here in that period decreasing.

The very best way to do it is to either use one of the many Schengen calculators online, or get a Schengen Calculator app.

I’ll go and find a reliable calculator and edit the post with it in a moment.

EDIT:  I believe this one is reliable:-

When you want to travel back to the Schengen, you count back 180 days from the day you want to travel into the Schengen.  That will tell you how many days you have available ...

If you find the counting back confusing, I can understand that - I would most definitely recommend using the Schengen Calculator to tell you how many days you have left

Hi Dario am really sorry this really is making me feel so think I think I am confused .com .

I downloaded and put my first holiday dates in leaving Spain 26th April it told me I had 5 days left but didn't tell me when I can go back out again.

I want to go 1st August I counted forward and there is a break of 95 days so does this mean that I can go out as the first 180days has finished ?

Why is life so confusing for me everybody else seems to get it .

Thank you for you patience Dario

Please please give a wee bit of feedback when you have and have tried it - I would love to know how well it works for you, and what shortcomings, if any you find.

I always recommend Schengen Calculators and tend to gravitate towards recommending the online one that I linked, but not needing to use one, I don't know how practical / useful / easy to use they actually are - would love to know, equally would love to know if you find a good one in Google Play / Apple Store that can be downloaded and used on a phone.

Not a problem - you SHOULD be able to add further dates in so that you can forward plan.  Once you have one set of dates in, there should be a "+" button somewhere that allows you to add further dates.

Send me your proposed dates, I'll run them through an online calculator and send a screenshot

Just count backwards from the last day you wish to be in Spain.  Count back 180 days then count how many days you will have been in Spain.  As long as 90 or less in that 180 day period then you will be fine.  I use a calendar to mark down time in Spain.

That was quick I think I had it but now I have lost it I was putting in lots of dates and I think I  blew it up .

On a seriuos note I didn't realise that you could put multiple dates in and when I put my first trip in I had seven days left and when I put my second trip in that was 88 days it said I had 2  days left , so by that I assume ( something you should never do ) that I was safe to go on bothtrips . Phew .

Thanks Dario it's makes a bit more sense now
