Hola. Pretty much brand new to Spain, but we're living in the Oria area and looking to find a chimney sweep/repair

All responses welcome. Apart from the ones that aren't.

I love it. Why didn't I say that?

Incidentally, I know of no chimney sweep. Sorry!

There was a chimney sweep in Partaloa but I do not have his number.  There are 2 options for you 1.. Call into the town hall as they have a list of builders, tilers etc,  they may have a number for you.  Option 2.. if town hall cannot help put it on Facebook.

There's a product you can buy to burn in your log burner or chimney which is supposed to clean your chimney.  Never used it myself but my neighbours have.  It has a bit of a chemical smell, I have to say

You may be able to buy this in Ferreteria Lopez in Antas or Mojacar, but we have always seen it in Bricodepot in Almeria and other DIY superstores in Almeria and Roquetas.  No too expensive but only does for one clean.

I bought my own brush & rods, very reasonable price, I don't know if I'm as good as the professionals, but I can now do it as often as I like, for free.

Many thanks to everyone for responding - methinks PuffTheMagicDragon is right: buy the rods and have a go myself. And thanks to ednab I'll know where to go for a builder when I've managed to knock a hole through the chimney, lol
