Hi Chas, good luck with your house hunting over here.  In Albox as you may already be aware there are lots of estate agents, many of them British.  Go with your instincts as some agents do tell porky pies regarding the legality of properties plus don't use a solicitor recommended by them.  There are some Spanish English speaking solicitors in Albox, Mercedes Flores on Calle Duque in Albox is one and they cover most things at her office.

Stick to your guns, mostly it's a nice life out here.  Had some bad luck since being here but still feel it's my home now and wouldn't return to the UK.
