hello can anybody help in pointing us in the right direction of retrieving our nie no from about 20 years ago

Hi we lived in spain 20 years ago and had residenthia and NIE  no were now looking at coming back to live this year were coming for a week in march to sort some thing out but need help on retrieving our nie no is there any one who can help with this as want to open a bank account and go self employed many thanks

1. Make an appointment for NIE at the Spanish embassy.

2. Turn up on time with your passport, driving licence and downloaded form filled in.

3. Bring about a tenner with you.

4. Your new NIE will be emailed to you 6 weeks later.

Hi where is the embassy is there one in mojacar as were coming in march can book an appointment

Hi Beverley. The Spanish embassy at your country of residence is where you need to apply for an NIE number. Failing that, you can visit a "consulate" in Almeria city and wait and wait and wait. Or you can employ somebody like a solicitor to do the waiting for you. The cost circa €150.00 + NIE application.

That’s what I did but it’s at the Spanish Consultate not embassy and the closed underground is Sloane Square (London). All info is on their webpage - v efficient and easy and just over £8!

It’s emailed to you within two weeks.
