That’s quite a broad question .... what sort of information are you seeking?

Cost will vary depending on Gestoria / Asesoria you use.  The one I used is in Vera, and speaks no English. I paid 120,00€ for everything getting my Residencia, Tarjeta Sanitaria etc etc.

Broadly speaking, to obtain residencia, you will need to satisfy the Oficina de la Extranjeria in Almería that you have a) a independent means of support i.e. pension from uk, or income from work.  If you have neither, you will need to supply a letter from a Spanish bank indicating an annual average balance of 9.250,00€ per person applying. b) you will also need proof of medical cover, either through private health insurance or through acceptance into Spanish health system, either as a pensioner or by payment of Autónomo; and c) proof of address by providing a Padrón from your local Ayuntamiento

Effectively Spain just wants proof you have means of support and won’t be a drain on the Spanish welfare system.

Saludos, Darío

Many thanks Dario for your reply, very informative.

Had a quote off a gestoria on the playa of 250+70 for translateing some documents.

But that is for us both so maybe it’s not so bad

Thanks once again for your reply

You’ll get lots of recommendations I am sure - any documents you get translated MUST be done by a registered judicial translator or they will not be accepted.  Quite probably the Gestoria you speak of is registered, but 250,00€ + 70,00€ for translation does seem a little steep.

For translations I can recommend TraducSur in Vera who did my translations.  Should only really be your marriage certificate that needs translating (OH - and you WILL need an Apostille on your marriage certificate)

If you are coming across with pensions etc, then I imagine it’s possible that the documents attesting to your receipt of income will need to be translated

If your of pensionable age the International pensions department up in Newcastle will supply you with what's known as an S1 pensions proof form which gives details of your UK pensions entitlement, I think when we got ours the base minimum was under €6000, you'll need to register with Spanish social services.

You'll need whats known as an NIE your Spanish social security number without which you cant do pretty much anything including buying a villa or car or large household appliances, tv's etc etc.

We did not have anything translated went online and found a company for NIE number went to the town hall for Padron then used a company in Zurgena to get our Residecia and they also got our Medical card.
