Book of Face Fourms?

The main forum I use for the Mojacar/Mojacar Playa areas is this one (www.costaalmeriaforum.com) - I find it easy to scroll and most of the contributors here are OK types of people. There are exceptions, but it takes all kinds. The Facebook versions of this forum (sister forums if you wish) are full of many who may not wish to contribute here. I trawl through the facebook versions occasionally but do not contribute there as most of the messages are about what band is playing wherever, what's the cheapest place for Sunday Lunch cooked just like granny's, Tibby is pining for a new home as her owner must return to the UK forever or Why can't I bring my rottweilers and bulldogs  to the beach at 5.00pm every day?

Other people might differ from my viewpoints, but take your pick.

As you say 'most of the contributors here are OK'. 

I find that some  the contributors here want to belong to the club but do not want to abide by the rules of the club. Is this because they do not like or aggree with the rules of the club and thus feel said rules should not apply to them?

Not all, TBJ, just a select few but I was just wondering what else was out there as, an alternative if I was interested..

Viva-Almeria is a forum and I think it is in existence still although not very much in vogue. But, back in the day it was a good forum and imploded over a kind-of-joke that went wrong. People voted with their feet and stopped posting. I didn't post there due to my personal shyness.

Another forum was born out of a guy named Ian Steel. It was colourful but mostly it was a forum of self admiration of the contributors. Ian Steel's facebook is still alive due to the kind of guy he was. I say "was" as I think he died (I am open to correction and don't mean to be disrespectful). I didn't post there either.

I looked in both aforementioned fora from time to time. Some posters were good contributors but most were not.

And then there's this forum and like Democracy it is not perfect, but it is the best of what's around.

Mojacar forum or really Costa Almeria forum , I find is generally informative and really quite useful . I love some of the banter and the different individuals that love winding each other up . But look below the surface and everyone feeds off each other . Dare I say it but Dario on the whole is the most knowledgeable, don’t know how he runs his business constantly on google researching answers to everyone’s questions ( do it yourselves you lazy folk ) . Ok a tad a left winger . Mathew just loves winding dog owners up especially Jenni . Considering he is a dog owner himself and worst of all a motorhome owner . In the eyes of many the anti christ . We seem to have lost our most balanced and learned voice , our pilot Biggles . If we stick to where can I get a Christmas dinner or a patio set it’s civil . Mention the B word , politics or animals sit back and see the proper responders come thru . It really is a good forum and it can make you laugh or rant . That is what makes the world go round . Just pick and choose to what you want to respond to and enjoy . I don’t do Facebook , instagram , tweets etc . Just this and good old family and friends WhatsApp . Enjoy folks and happy August bank holiday

There’s a book in here somewhere, perhaps a holiday read? We’ve all types of characters, the quiet investigative Devo, the informative Dario, someone mentioned Jenni, the cunning conniving dog lover who has all the facts. There are plenty of characters to fill any vacancies. But, Ol’ Matt as the anti Christ because of a camper van? Old Nick himself would be insulted at my new title. 

I’m just an easy going Paddy who lives and let lives, nothing more, nothing less. I look on the contributors here with friendship and am willing to share knowledge and give my opinion. Most of us share and help. Sometimes my racing tips don’t succeed. But, shucks guys, we have a laugh and generally understand each other. There are exceptions, but once the ground rules reflect that I’m mostly right, no sweat. 😉😉
