I'm struggling with European Travel Insurance enquiries. Ageism is thriving in this Industry. Help/guidance will be appreciated - Thanks

Concur with that. Have you tried Staysure? One of the more reasonable, and seems to have good reviews

Staysure.  Covers over 70s and medical conditions.  Reasonable prices for annual cover.

If you still maintain an UK address, a Lloyds Bank packaged bank account comes with travel insurance included.

Friend of mine has just switched banks as he was struggling for insurance now he's 75. Lloyds covers up to 80.

With the Lloyds insurance you are still bound to let them know of any medical issues, high blood pressure, statins and every other little ailment you have been treated for in the last 12 months,  nothing is actually free any more.   We used to have this with the Lloyds Gold card, but they withdrew it two years ago.  It is now Club Lloyds and you get a free (limited choice) magazine subscription,

Yeah, same for all insurances. Gotta declare. But at least they’ll cover to 80.

Our current insurance covers us at the moment and we are both now over 70, but instead of being able to have a 7 week break all in one go, they’ve reduced it to 5 weeks, so beware of the small print.  We did ask for a quote for one off 8 week break, and after a 35 minute grilling over the phone were quoted £860 for this one trip - double the annual policy.  Understandably we decided to stick to 5 weeks.

Our policy is “extended cover = 55 days” if that’s any help.
