Not many open at the moment.  Best tropical in Marina de la Torre I one.  The village is a good place to visit.  Lots of good bars and restaurants on the seafront but again this time of the year lots closed or only open some times..

That's brilliant, thank you very much Matthew.  I have been reading reviews on mojocar and some say it's quite remote, nerja would be better? I have no idea as I havent been to the area.

Hi Ann,

we used Hotel Indalo when we first came to the area to look round. Its at the far end of Mojacar. Both the route 1 & 2 buses start from here and pass the commercial centre (shops, et al). Eight stops to reach it. There is a walkway opposite the hotel which can be walked in about 40-45 mins. This covers about 5 bus stops. Then its a 20 or so min walk to reach the centre. Obviously quicker by bus but you won't get to know the area that way.

Around the middle area, near the bowling alley, are a number of restaurants. Very popular are 'Sensations' & 'Bella Vista '. Both have menu's (3 courses) for under 15 Euro's. Well worth a visit.

Airport to the area, if no car, can be done by the shuttle bus service. Link below.

We are also out late May (for a few weeks) so feel free to pm me & perhaps we can meet up. My partner & I own a town house in Vera Playa so are out about 3 times a year.

Martin.
