I suffer frequently from Shingles and would like to know if there is a vaccine available in the area to prevent this. I am 75 years old in the UK anyone over the age is given this on the NHS free, I am on the Spanish hea,th care system.

Speak to your doctor. I was taking aciclovir and she recommended the vaccine. You have to pay for it as it's not covered by the health system. I think it was about 125 Euros. There's two varieties zostervax and shingrix. The latter being more effective. Sadly, I got zostervax and have had numerous flare ups since
You can buy a large tube of aciclovir cream for about 7 euros in some chemists. I use that for the rash
