I must say that I'm puzzled as to why you've had this difficulty finding the entrance to the hospital although I could well understand if you had said you had difficulty parking up there.
If you are driving you may find it difficult to park and most of the parking near the hospital is at the back of the main building which is possibly more convenient for those who need to go to the Urgencias. Anyway, you have to drive or walk right round to the other side which is where the main entrance is. Often you used to see nurses, patients and visitors having a smoke outside and I'm sure some still do.
Inside to the left is reception and when I was last there, there was a small gift shop selling magazines and sometimes flowers on the right inside the entrance and I seem to remember so one selling Once lottery numbers. Reception will indicate where you have to go. The lifts are at the far end and not immediately visible as I think some pillars or staircase (I'm a bit hazey about this) hide these from sight slightly. I recall there is a security man who can point you in the right direction, anyway.
The cafeteria of the hospital is outside the entrance and is (more or less) opposite. They do a very reasonable menu of the day between 13.30 - 15.00.
Do be sure not to park on a yellow line because you may be fined or your car taken away by the municipal 'grua'.
Don't worry, someone will indicate the 'entrada para visitas' if you still can't find it.
