Sorry, meant to add - what does it mean, 'annual average bank balance' ?  Do we need to have a running balance if 1,800 euros?  Don't know many working English people who have 900 euros each left in their bank accounts each month! (Or perhaps I only know poor people like me😂😂).

“Annual average balance” means over the course of a year, your average balance must be 9.050€.  It doesn’t mean at the time of application you have to have nine thousand Euros in your account, only that over the course of a year, the average balance was nine thousand and fifty Euros.

The income is 5.300€ per ANNUM, or around 442€ per MONTH.

It was explained to me by Asesora that the figures required were per person applying; HOWEVER, if one person has an income and the joint bank account can show the required annual average balance, that will likely be fine.

Income from whatever source is fine - they’ll just want to see income and not too concerned about how it’s garnered.

Sorry,  think I'm being dumb. Does that mean you have to show you had 9,000 euros coming over for the whole year - for example, I currently earn 16,000 per annum. Or do you have to show an actual Monthly amount if 9,000 going in? (Dont know anyone who earns that!)

The way it reads we have to actually have 9,000 each surplus in our account, which we dont have.

I'm so confused!

No, It means that over the course of one year, your account showed an average balance of 9.050€.

It doesn’t mean you have to have a surplus of 9.050€, only that the average balance of the account throughout the year was that.   (This is probably more likely to be a savings account, I’d suggest than a transaction account.)

Failing that, an income, however derived, of 5.300€ per annum (442€ per month) will do the trick.

... as long as you get here before 31/12/2020.  After that, the income requirement quadruples
