Your paperwork should have told you this, the reason for the canula probably was because  it was a “resonancia con magentica con contraste.
Also if you were taking metformin, this should be stopped 3 days befor. Hope all went well.

...ery cold in the cubicle that you undress in and put on a paper gown (shoes and pants allowed) this gown goes on the opposite to a hospital one open at the front.  you lock your stuff in the cubicle and take the key into the room with you and leave on chair by machine.

the machine is very noisy and not very warm you must not move once in the tube. you lay on your front and plavce your arms above your head, they give you a button to press if you need to and they talk to you when you are in it.  i was in there for nearly an hour so it was quite an experience.  they put a canula in my hand and half way through came in and did something to it nearly jumped as i was eyes shut trying to chill out.

after the scan you dress and wait they then take out the canula and you can leave.  results are sent direct to your consultant.
