Medical healthcare

Hi all

Living near Vera and presently looking for private medical healthcare until we can obtain residencia. Have been told by solicitors that we need this before we can be accepted for residencia. We are fortunate enough to have retired early and do not work in Spain and live on our occupational pensions which apparently preclude us from the Spanish healthcare system as we do not work. Was wondering if anyone has similar problems or recommendations with regard to obtaining short term private healthcare during the period leading to residencia.

Sorry to hijack your post - Hi we are very new to the forum - our first post! - we are David and Tracey and we are looking to possibly move from the UK to your area and are investigating health medical insurances for us both for pre existing medical conditions. We are 55 (Tracey) 64 (David). We do not qualify for a state pension but do have savings etc. Can anyone recommend insurers please? We understand we would need private health cover for one year re residencia. Thanks in anticipation :-)
