Hi I was just wondering if anyone else has used a well known property company for a long term rental and has struggled to get bonds back from them. It is over 2 months since we left our rental property all bills have been paid and the property is available to rent again. The company is being evasive and basically been telling us for 3 weeks that the transfer is imminent. Is this common in Spain or indeed anywhere we have never rented through a company before. Thank you, wish we were there x

The company has a very high profile in the UK. Does that help haha I do not want to jeopardize our chances of getting our money back but if I had a choice I would use a different company for my Spanish property x

You may have a better chance if you name them, no company likes bad publicity if you name them you are more likely to get you money back( I was thinking of putting my property in someone's hands)

The enquirer has given the name in her last post. Think afternoon television series Sun, Sea and Selling.

In 2018-19 we rented 2 properties from Spanish Property Choice, 1 for 9 months and 1 for 3 months; all transactions were completed efficiently and swiftly by either Matt, Sarah or Juan Manuel. We kept in regular touch with them by phone and mostly in person; we built a good relationship with them, they were flexible in transferring security deposits between properties, and our security deposit was paid back the day we vacated. The key is to build a friendly relationship and if necessary stay in regular contact in my opinion.

Believe me we have kept in touch. We know Sara very well  (we walked our dogs together for 3 months) and Juan Manuel has left the company We have been cordial and polite and above all patient we even told them that we were looking to rent again in September yet we are still waiting 11 weeks later. Often we get no reply or told there is a computer glitch or the payment will be made today ( on 3 separate occasions). We can only judge how we find!!!
