water drought in Spain

Reading about the lack of water up North in Catalonia and wondered how the Mojacar area can justify the washing down of the roads and pavements from the football ground along the Playa the other morning.

Perhaps they wanted to keep the lovely new pavements in pristine condition, wonder when they might repair the terrible ones further along in the Parque commercial area and in front of the Parador they are a bad trip hazard.

And that’s surprising considering the North was ravaged by Storm Juan not long back; and here we’ve seen barely any rain

Is it not sea water they use? Always thought it was...... I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong....

Yes, desalination is used quite extensively in the south

Could well be - I have a friend works in one of the hotels here - I’ll ask them
