I ended up contacting Steve Goodenough. He responded to my facebook post at 23.45 last night and came today and sorted out my problem in no time.
Highly recommended.
Smith Plumbing charged me about 60 Euros to connect a gas hob into my new kitchen...all he did was connect the gas pipe and left the hob loose and unsealed to the worktop. I had to get someone else to do the job properly.
