We are going through the process ourselves and are using the services of a local lady who was recommended to us. She is coming to the tráfico with us to do the exchange. Not sure if she covers your area or not but if you want her details then please send me a PM.

This is an addendum to our original post.

We started off with CAT SERVICES. Total waste of time. You are expected to arrive with notarized copies of all documentation and then original documentation even though they send copies themselves. Totally frustrated.

Tried a Solicitor in Huercal Overa & too many hoops to jump through which would .have entailed additional trips/ work by Solicitor.

Finally Salvador on Mojacar Playa. Exceptional service and all our documentation, nixed by 2 previous agencies, ABSOLUTELY ACCEPTABLE.

Guess you get what you pay for.

We did it ourselves, no problem. The medicals were sorted by an office in Roquetas de Mar, opposite the Ayuntamiento, we organised the Almeria City DGT appointments online, my wife’s Spanish managed the counter assistant’s questions well. 

Total cost for the two of us inc medicals was €120.

Hi guys - VeraVision is on Calle Del Mar, at the opposite end to the Plaza Mayor, same side of the street and one block or so down from Sabadell and almost directly opposite am3 real estate and CajaRural bank
