Also, less than 5 mins to walkway and beach.  leave building, turn right then, rt again and the  sea is in front of you.  cafes and eaterys just there with a lovely ice-cream shop. you can even hire a bike.

Vera has Lidl and Mercadona which is like Tesco.

It has private clinics and public health centres too.

I am pretty sure the buses run all year to Vera Playa,Garrucha and Mojacar.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars and cafes.There are chemists,clothes shops ,Chinese everything household shops,museums,etc.So lots going on there.The buses from there also go to Valencia ,Murcia ,Alicante as well.From Murcia you can get trains to further destinations.I don't know about taxis but I am sure there are plenty .

There are also lots of hairdressers too and of course shoe shops .
