Get your self  a Revolut card,  1.1840 today.   They always give interbank exchange rate.

You can get a Revolut card on your phone - you can have a virtual and/or a physical card - no bank fees for the basic account and you can have UK and Euro accounts on the same card and swap money between the two at inter bank rates. I'm going to Sweden in March for a week and set up a Krone account in two minutes so I can load money onto it and anything I don't spend I can swap back to Euro. You can also link your card to your phone so that if your phone is not close to the card the card will not work.

Hi Jim.

Thanks so much for your reply. Really interested in this. Coming over to hopefully purchase in a couple of weeks, I’m not really sure how this Revolut works though. Would it link with my uk bank. I havnt opened a Spanish bank account you.

Sorry to sound thick but struggling to understand how it works.

Best regards

Maggie

It is nothing more than an app and you send a photocopy of your passport with some other form of ID / took an hour to sort - you have a IBan code in Euro and Sterling to send and receive money and you can set up payees. They have no physical branches. Just google Revolu
