We are looking to possibly purchasing a static caravan at Cherribar Park. It look really clean and well kept, however my concern is there doesn't seem to be much happening there? It would be great to hear from any owners or ex-owners.

Thanks

Hello, Annette. We have lived at Cherribar for 12 years and there are others who have lived here for much longer. Presumably you are referring to purchasing a mobile home, as there are no caravans here.

You're right in your observation that it's very quiet here and that there aren't the facilities that you find on a larger commercial site, but those than can be found in the local villages (bars), our local town (shopping, medical centre, swimming pool, markets) and the coastal towns of Villaricos, Vera, Garrucha, Mojacar for entertainment, restaurants, more markets, tourism.

We consider that we have the best of both worlds in that we have all of the above within a short drive and come back to the peace and quiet of our rural location.

I hope this helps you towards making a decision.

Sorry, yes a mobile home

We are staying in vera playa at the moment, and you are totally correct about the park being close to everything. The restaurant on the hill was amazing and the village was only a short drive away. It was more about coffee morning or card night? Just to meet people. We definitely don't want a large commercial place, living on top of each other.

Thanks for your response

As you'll have seen, there's a community room, which is sometimes used by residents, and I organise a coffee and cake outing as and when friends are available. In fact, I'm just getting ready to take 7 friends here, with another friend also using her car, to a patisseria in San Juan. It's very much a case of organising your own activity.

I've just remembered - one of the residents has a keep fit morning in the community hall in Los Lobos, too.
