Hi Vic and Jackie,

Good to hear from you and thank you for replying so promptly.

Brian and I also discussed rental of a villa in Spain and like yourselves, renting our present home out here in the UK.

We have some mortgage to still pay off. If we rented, this would cover the mortgage for the remaining period outstanding of around 2 years.

The rental side of things appealed to us very much so but again (and yes...we would have to look into and ask suitable estate agent companies or rental companies) because we have some small pet dogs and rental could or would be harder to get.  We would also be looking for long term furnished rental of 2 years (or more if we decide to hold onto our UK home and continue to rent).

As you rent, I would very much value your opinion and findings on renting.  Would the cost of rental for e.g. cover the council tax and rates and or water.  Would we be secure in the rental, i.e. renting without concern of the owner(s) wanting the property back before the rental contract is up?  In fact any relevant information would be appreciated.

Many thanks once again.

Best wishes

Breianne

Hi,

It sounds as if you are like us and doing plenty of research first. The rental from our house covers pretty much ALL our costs incl. water, basura (rubbish collection) and a good part of our electricity. The owner pays the council tax which is very cheap anyway. We rent from New Horizons Villas in Los Carasoles, just up the road from us. Have a look at their website newhorizonvillas.com. They have some really nice long term rentals right now, (we have been here three and half years and are very secure). Voss also have a good reputation in this area for sales. If you would like to chat, we could Skype with you, show you what we have and what we have done to our villa since we've been here? Let us know...

Vic and Jackie

Hi Andy,

Good evening from Brian and I in Wales in the UK.

Thank you for your property links you have been so kind to send. The properties seem nice but Brian and I particularly liked your VH1056 Villa Vides that was sold by you last year.

We are open to many various areas within Almeria or possibly outside Almeria.  We are very open minded in our wants but our essential requirements and needs are mentioned on the forum (under the forum property section).

It's very kind of you to contact us and be of help and assistance and this is really appreciated. Our re-location is very important in the way of getting the right property, a private (non communal) residential 2 - 3 bed, one level villa, with a private pool or space to have one installed and a garden (as we have a few small dogs) and the area/ground as a guideline preferably no smaller than 300m2 but no bigger than 670m2, preferably with an elevated position, within amenities and leisure activities and a good ex-pat community.

As we are coming to the final stages of renovating our present home, If you are fine and happy to be patient and work alongside us over the next year as we plan for our relocation, we would look forward to your further contact.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Breianne

Yes, well pointed out Graeme. A number of the Banks have English speaking staff since they have aquired a lot of English customers!

A very warm welcome and hello from Brian and I.

Brian and I are from Wales in the UK, in our early (he in mid) 60's and having worked all our lives and having family we would like to embrace a new life and way of life in Spain.

In respect to moving to Spain, we are looking for a well maintained villa or bungalow (with or without a private pool but with option to have one) in a private residential area (no communal residency) with adequate outdoor space for our small pet dogs (our furry kids!!).

We are looking to retire to Spain and as friendly people ourselves, making new friends, share activities and are pleased to be a part of this friendly forum.

We are looking to be inland and open to various areas in Almeria, such as La Alfoquia, Albox, Zurgena, Huércal-Overa, Arboleas, Mojacar, Turre, Vera Playa, Los Galladros etc., and would like to be amongst a good community of Ex-Pats that we can meet as well as other nationalities and be close to amenities.

We would love to hear from anyone.

Thank you.

Best wishes

Breianne

Hi Kev

What is the address/name of your solicitor as it would be a useful contact as I would be a bit cautious of giving a PoA but it does make sense!

Thankyou for your detailed reply, we always learn a lot from everybody.

As far as we're concerned she was very efficient and reasonably priced for the service she gave.

Happy clients Dave & Sandie
