Thinking of driving over then selling car

Normally difficult to sell a Rh drive in Spain. It's the cost of returning the car back to Uk.

I wish I had sold mine in the Uk then hired a one way car hire to get here with one of the large rental company's that do one way.

Would have saved me thousands on the pittance I had to sell my uk car for to a car dealer.

Everyone here in Spain knows the problem with rh drive cars

Look into it before you decide.

Hi. We bought a LHD Spanish registered car in UK from LHD place in Bournmouth. Then had to get Spanish Insurance which you can use for 90 days in Uk before car has to be back in Spain. Couldn’t get it registered in my name until we completed on property purchase so just had to carry sale receipt with us. As soon as we then completed on villa our solicitor sorted the registration document for car. Took a couple of weeks and cost about €360. Good luck with the move. 

We brought partners rhd Honda hybrid down last March 2017 via the Portsmouth Bilbao ferry and are still using it, she had it registered, matriculated and put onto spanish number plates without any thought of selling it, which we'd most likely do back in the UK anyways in p/x for another rhd, it's not compulsory that you have a lhd vehicle.

For safetys sake I put one of those convex driving mirror add ons on the passenger side mirror that shows any vehicle in that blind spot, only alteration we made, I've driven lhd hire cars and this one and you'll still have to have your wits about you because the spanish dont hardly indicate, especially on roundabouts and on motorways as brilliant as they are here, trafiic free etc theres always someone needs to get sonewhere faster than you.

Speed limits are to be adhered to and if turning left say into a gas station, dont cross a solid white line, find somewhere theres a broken line to turn and do it that way, there are unmarked police cars here just like in the UK and they do on the spot fines too.

Once youve completed on your villa here and gone thru all the things you'll need, once you have residencia you have a further 6 months within whuch time frame you'll need/have to get a spanish driving licence which means surrendering your uk licence
