Afternoon all,

I've been away for a couple of days to return and find my Internet is down. The router is saying no incoming signal. I'm with Populoos who are saying all of Cuevas del Almanzora is currently offline.

Is anyone else having the same issues and is there a website I can use that shows the areas currently not working and/or any update on repairs as I use my internet for work.

Paul

You can try https://downdetector.es/, but it doesn’t seem to recognize Populoos as a valid internet provider

Those reviews do not read to well do they! I have to be honest and say up to now I've had no major issues with them. The speed was better when it was Wimax especially my 2.4ghz which is a bit slow, but most of my devices are on 5ghz which is fine. Never had an outage like this before though.

I'll keep this in mind when my renewal is up.

Thanks Paul

One or two bad reviews can be merely disgruntled customers … but when the overwhelming majority are raising the same or similar issue, then that’s red flag time.

Are you on Fibre Optic or wireless?

I'm on Fibre Optic. On the plus side, with no internet I've got Spanish TV on so can brush up on the language a bit.

Well, I’m sure you’re able to guess who I’ll say … but investigate Digimobil.  They do a 1 Gb/s connection for 30€ - once their Digi Plus network gets there, 1 Gb/s drops to 25€ and you get their 10Gb/s for 30€

I’ve been with them a few years now and their service is constantly improving

Hi Paul. We're just down the road in Los Lobos, using Populoos to which many of us have transferred from Instelnet for faster speeds at a lower price, and we're fine.

If only we could, Dario. We use Digi for our mobiles, which is excellent.

Hi Marion,

Thanks for the reply. I'm actually in Los Lobos, Populoos told me the server was in Cuevas Del Almanzora so I thought I'd pop it in that group.

I'm pleased to say the fibre was back up and running when I got up this morning, so hopefully all sorted now.

Kind regards

Paul
