The only other way to get an EU passport will be either one of your grandparents are Irish are they were born in one other of the EU countries. Other than that there is no way you will get one am afraid.

His grandfather was born in Co Meath.   That’s in Ireland !

I received my Irish Passport a couple of weeks ago through residence, it took 18 months to get citizenship and then receive the passport and I'm still waiting for my UK passport, citizenship document and other documents to be returned. The Passport Office are still clearing a backlog of applications and first time applicants are in a long queue. Wife got hers a few years ago very easily because her Father was born in Ireland
